About Library

 

The dynamism of any library requires the provision of appropriate, continuous and up-to-date services. In other words, the identity of each library is known to users by providing its services. All library activities (selection, provision, organization and availability of resources) are aimed at providing services to users.

The library of the School of Public Health of Iran University of Medical Sciences has sections include reading room, circulation desk, e-books, dissertations, information clinic and technical services. This library has started its activity since 1983. The library system is designed as an open shelf system and the books in the collection can be retrieved by searching the Azarsa portal. The library classification system is in accordance with the NLM and the Library of Congress LC. The main subject areas include health education and health promotion, environmental health engineering, occupational health engineering, ergonomics, nutrition, biostatistics and epidemiology. The library user community is all academics and researchers.
