History of Ergonomic Department:

Due to the high prevalence of work-related occupational injuries and the lack of ergonomics experts and valid scientific authorities to supervise the design of ergonomic products, Iran University of Medical Sciences established an ergonomics training department in May 2014. The department accepted its first course of ergonomic master’s students and is currently located in the Faculty of Public Health. The goal of the ergonomics department is to maintain and improve the health, safety, and well-being of people at the community level while developing ergonomics knowledge at regional and international levels. The experienced professors and appropriate laboratory facilities and equipment empower the ergonomics group to train masters for incorporation in companies, industries, factories, and health centers while conducting applied and product-based research
