Department of Environmental Health Engineering

In the Faculty of Public Health, while trying to educate students in associate degree courses in environmental health from 1984 to 2008, the bachelor's degree from 1999 to 2010 to teach in the fields of water engineering, wastewater engineering, air pollution control, solid waste, food hygiene, housing hygiene and environmental impact assessment was developed. Now, Department of Environmental Health Engineering has M.Sc and Ph.D courses in Environmental Health Engineering and it will also launch M.Sc courses in environmental toxicology and solid waste engineering.

The Department of Environmental Health Engineering has 5 full professors, 1 associate professor and 1 assistant professor and has implemented numerous research projects in cooperation with national and international organizations such as WHO, Ministry of Health, National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company, Solid Waste Management Organization, Air Quality Control Center, etc. in various fields of environmental health in Iran. The department has also conducted several research projects in the field of Covid-19 disease on wastewater, solid waste and air.

Members of the department of Environmental Health Engineering have numerous scientific articles and books in the field of environmental health and provide services as environmental and health consultants to various national and international organizations.
