Student Research and Technology Committee of the school of Public Health

 

the Student Research and Technology Committee of the School of Public Health is a unit affiliated with the Student Research Committee of the Iran University of Medical Sciences. The committee is led by a supervisor, a secretary, and 4 members of the central council. The central council includes the number of committee units plus one secretary who is elected by the general assembly of each department. In addition, the Student Research and Technology Committee of the School of Public Health has 4 units including research, technology, education, and public relations. Each unit has a supervisor and one alternate member. The secretary of the committee is selected from among two members of the department's committee who are proposed by the central council of the Student Research Committee.

 


Mission

The primary mission of the Student Research Committee at the School of Public Health is to focus on "research education" for students. The Research and Technology Committee at the School of Public Health aims to utilize the potential and capabilities of students in the areas of technology and fundamental-applied research, in alignment with the comprehensive scientific roadmap of the universities of medical sciences in Iran and the country.

 


Duties

  • The Research and Technology Committee at the School of Public Health has a range of responsibilities, which include:

  • Monitoring and providing scientific guidance to ensure the proper implementation of the committee's activities.
  • Establishing effective communication with university professors and officials to facilitate the achievement of the committee's goals.
  • Conducting various administrative tasks pertaining to the Research and Technology Committee of the School of Public Health.
  • Holding elections to select members of the central council of the committee.
  • Issuing notifications to the members of the central council of the committee to keep them informed of the committee's activities and decisions.
  • Appointing a committee secretary and overseeing the resignation and appointment of the student research secretary if necessary.
  • Managing correspondence from the university's student research committee and other departments of the school and university.
  • Holding meetings to evaluate the performance of departments under the coverage of the committee and addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Organizing training workshops for students in the areas of education and research and issuing relevant certificates. Whenever possible, these workshops are led by students.
  • Receiving research proposals from students of the School of Public Health, conducting evaluations, sending approved proposals to the university's student research committee, and following up as needed.
